Terms of Service
Last updated September 4, 2026
Early-access notice: SearchTester is not yet accepting paid subscriptions. These terms are an operational draft pending qualified legal review before paid launch.
These terms govern your use of SearchTester, a Practico Media service. By creating an account, checking the acceptance box, or using the authenticated service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
Business eligibility and authority
SearchTester is intended for businesses and people acting in a business capacity. You represent that you are legally able to agree to these terms and are authorized to manage each website, business profile, connected account, and business record you submit. Do not use SearchTester for a business or third-party account you are not authorized to represent.
The service
SearchTester evaluates public web and search signals and provides recommendations. Scores, diagnostics, and recommendations are informational and do not guarantee rankings, traffic, customer actions, or business results.
Customer action pathways
A participating business may use SearchTester to publish a request form or a link to its existing system. SearchTester transmits or temporarily stores the request but does not accept an order, schedule an appointment, confirm a reservation, quote a price, provide the underlying service, or make a commitment on the business’s behalf. A request is not confirmed until the participating business responds through its normal process.
The participating business is responsible for giving any legally required notices, obtaining any additional consent required for its follow-up communications, protecting received information, honoring applicable privacy requests, and complying with consumer-protection, telemarketing, licensing, and industry-specific rules.
Your responsibilities
You must provide accurate account information, protect your login credentials, use only websites and connected accounts you are authorized to manage, and comply with applicable laws and third-party platform rules.
Connected services
Optional integrations, including Google and Stripe services, remain governed by their providers’ terms. A Google Search Console connection uses read-only access and may be disconnected from SearchTester’s Data & privacy controls. SearchTester is not responsible for third-party service availability, decisions, data accuracy, or policy changes.
Free accounts, trials, and complimentary access
A Free account is not charged. The current early-access Core trial provides eligible customers with Core access for 14 days without collecting a payment method and without automatically charging at the end. Unless you separately activate a paid subscription through a future checkout, the account returns to Free when the trial ends and paid publishing, actions, monitoring, and connected-performance features are suspended.
Before any paid activation, checkout must separately and clearly show the price, billing interval, renewal terms, trial conversion date if applicable, taxes, cancellation method, and any refund policy, and must obtain your express agreement. SearchTester may designate an organization as complimentary Core; that designation bypasses payment processing until an authorized SearchTester administrator changes it.
Paid subscriptions and renewal
Paid subscriptions are not available in the current early-access build. When activated after legal approval, the selected monthly or annual subscription will renew for the same interval until canceled. The checkout confirmation, receipt, and account controls will identify the then-current charge, renewal timing, and how to cancel. Any material price change will be communicated before it applies as required by law.
Cancellation and account deletion
You may cancel subscription renewal through the same signed-in Data & privacy area used to manage the account. A paid Stripe subscription will remain available through the end of its current paid period unless immediate cancellation is required for account deletion or law requires a different result. Canceling a trial or complimentary Core account may end Core access immediately. Deleting the SearchTester account first attempts to cancel any linked subscription and revoke supported provider access, then permanently removes the live account data. Financial records may remain with the payment processor where required by law or its policies.
Your profiles remain yours
SearchTester acts as a facilitator and connector. You retain ownership and control of your website, business profiles, platform accounts, and listing relationships. We do not require a listing to be transferred into an account owned by SearchTester.
If your subscription ends, SearchTester will stop providing paid synchronization, guidance, and monitoring. We will not intentionally revert accurate information already published to your own platform accounts. You may continue managing those accounts directly, and may request a portable copy of the approved business record and available change history.
Acceptable use
You may not interfere with the service, evade usage limits, probe for vulnerabilities, submit malicious content, violate another person’s rights, or use SearchTester for unlawful activity.
Your content and SearchTester materials
You retain ownership of business information and other content you provide. You authorize SearchTester to host, process, reproduce, and publish that content only as needed to provide features you request, including customer-approved public business resources. You remain responsible for its accuracy and legality and can withdraw supported public resources from the workspace.
SearchTester’s software, branding, reports, and documentation remain owned by SearchTester or its licensors. You may use generated recommendations and copy-ready implementation materials for the business and website associated with your account.
Availability and changes
We may improve, change, suspend, or discontinue features. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or its users.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. To the extent permitted by law, SearchTester and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use of the service.
Terms requiring counsel completion
Before paid launch, qualified counsel must confirm the contracting entity, business address, governing law and venue, dispute process, any liability cap, indemnification terms, tax treatment, refund policy, automatic-renewal disclosures, required notices, and whether jurisdiction-specific provisions are necessary. SearchTester will publish the approved terms before accepting payment.

These terms are deliberately not represented as counsel-approved. Paid activation remains a launch gate until qualified review is recorded.
